   I have got idea of IIT Kharagpur and i have gone there too. Its really a quality institute with a big campus and lot of greenery inside. It deserves to be the best and on the top.

   Well SGSITS,Indore has been visited by many big companies recently like Microsoft Co. and students here have been getting big packages consistently! I think it should have been some where around rank-30 to 34. People dont consider this college as a priemet insti. but it is, a good one!

   well i read your criteria but can i know where is jamia millia islamia’s engg. college…it was on 93rd rank in your previous top 100 engg. colleges rankings consisting both private and government colleges.it is one of the best and oldest of the engineering colleges with a guy ranking 2nd in GATE examination.

    BIT Sindri is NBA accrediated college.
    It has largest campus in this zone after IIT Kgp
    It is one of the oldest Engg college of the
    India. It was established in 1949.
    placement is also very good.
    It is one only govermant engg college in Jharkhand

    the maximum package was 6 lakhs by adobe last year.
    so it should be there in top 50.

    Well I think its not necessary that an NIT is always above an autonomous institue… The practical example is SGSITS, indore which is far better than MANIT, bhopal, whether it be placements or results… I think SGSITS deserved a better rank considering it is estd. 1952 and companies like microsoft visiting the college every year..

    This list is misleading. This should be the list of best information technology or computer software institutes.
    By and large I do not consider this trade as an engineering trade. I would urge the Outlook publisher to reconduct the survey based on conventinal engineering degress being alloted in the colleges and rank them accordingly. IT is not the only thing which should define the ranking. I guess IIIT’s will not make to this list and many colleges such as Netaji Subhash institute etc. Nor will ISM Dhanbad.

    This list is misguiding. Please do not pay attention to this. It is a crap.

    IIIT’s are not only IT institutes. Please see the curriculum of IIIT. These are research institutes established with their main motivation as research. I think they should be given more preference.

    last year highest package was 44 lacs best in india..by schulumberger offshore for petroleum n highest 4 mechanical was 17 lacs..by hls asia.. n average package is 5.5 lacs compare to iitk…i think these fact should be considered
    alot of research work is also going on here…

    Kindly clarify the reasons or basis for the rankings and if u have none then take it out from internet. I guess there should be strict laws against such websites for publishing misleading content on the internet.

    Not only it places colleges like IIIT Hyderabad down the list just above colleges like HBTI but also it has done a lot in misleading the students. I really doubt the reasons for the publisher to allow such content on the website .. I urge them to remove the list from here or take it offline … that would be least that we would want …

    I am not satisfied with the rankings … I have seen college like IIIT Hyderabad in the top 10 by DQ survey and i m sure i must be in top 10 here as well.. Just look at the website and you will find how IIIT H is extra-ordinary .. I request you to correct the list as i feel it will mislead the students.

    One more criteria to ranking a college can be by observing the status of the alumini. By this criteria, BIT Sindri will definitely find a place amongst the top colleges. Almost all the PSUs are having a BITian as the top executives. Students are getting selected in huge numbers in PSUs, IAS and IES. As a thumb rule, you will find a BITian any were you go.

    This is only government institute of technology in jharkhand.
    This is very much famous college in northern india which is imparting technical education since 1949.
    I do not mean what are the criterias for this ranking???

    it is given ranking as 23 only because it is a NIT?????
    friends this college is totally ruined becoz it has no infrastructure, very dirty internal politics, no learning environment, most of d teachers involves in other activities i.e. taking lecture in private local colleges, running their own coaching institutes, politics, take less interest in lecture of institute, they never take lab session of students(mostly in CSE) and many more things…. so the excellent talent which comes in this college through AIEEE achieve nothing from this college in 4 yr ya definitely they can get mostly govt. job n some pvt. job @ less package compare to other NIT’s but most of d students have zero knowledge

    but SGSITS, Indore deserves good ranking then MANIT, bhopal. Faculty and Students of this college are tremendous talented. college provide excellent learning environment to the students, well developed infrastructure, well developed labs. there is no politics in college. excellent placement. companies come for placement are like google, oracle, microsoft, nokia, texsas and many more reputed companies. avg. package around 3-4 lpa for normal companies n 7-8 lpa for brand name companies.

    my kindly request is dt plz goto d colleges n analyze them, their environment before giving any type of ranking because this type of ranking not help anybody only misguide them.

    i m giving this info in very detail becoz i done my graduation from SGSITS, indore n placed in oracle but my somefriends done their graduation from MANIT, bhopal have no knowledge placed in patni…..

    I also think that IET lucknow is one amongst the Top colleges affiliated to UPTU.
    Even it is comparable to HBTI,Kanpur in terms of placements in major branches.
    The advantages of HBTI over IET are its non-core branches like paint else they are almost similar.
    So IET certainly lies around 25 in this ranking.
