Why the Indian Institute of Science; Bangalore the prime most Science and Technology university of India is being consistently omitted from these surveys? IISc has been the highest ranked university from India in some international rankings for the last few years. IIIT Bangalore is best among the IIIT fraternity but it has been also kept aside. Why is it so? Only because they don’t offer undergraduate courses? What is the definition of Engineering School anyway. Note that the contemporary rankings done in United States and Eupore put more focus on graduate studies and research capabilities of the universities rather than undergraduate studies.
by no means u can consider m.s. ramaiah in top 20
students who enter that college get a rank of roughly 7000 in comed-k
whereas most students dont even know about that exam
how can u keep manipal and vit there?
and as a student of jadavpur university i dont think it deserves to be above nit trichy, warangal, surathkal, dce and bits
plz reply us your answer i wi be waiting for your answer………….

These surveys were conducted by reputed institutions. As in all surveys there are some shortcomings here also.
All surveys are largely correct while they consider empirical or objective values, however the errors creep in once the surveys are subjected to opinions.
Good Luck

and why is Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani kept out..
why is that everywhere there is a differentlist.. i do agree that there can be a minor variation between various institutes.. but such a variations.. ??

ur magazines shows vit(vellore) at 14th but it is not on ur list on website….how can u play this game??????
Prajnan Das - IISc doesn’t have undergraduate programs. This is an undergraduate ranking, more or less.
VIT - Vellore Institute of Technology is number 14.
Those of you who are agitated about BITS Pilani rankings or non ranking the explanation given on the web site of BITS will be sufficient to dilute the anger:
“BITS opted out of India Taday’s survey because of a pending court case between BITS and India Today. This explains why BITS does not figure in the India Today rankings —”
Dear Sir,

The article has a funny cosmetic error. The institute at rank 6 should be IIT Roorkee and not IIT Rurkee. There is no such institute called IIT Rurkee. Please correct your spellings before publishing such electronic media that is highly viewed by aspirants and graduates.
Rgds,
Superhero (B.Tech IIT Roorkee 2002)
Superhero
You are right.The error accepted.
However Roorkee is a proper noun and a difference in spelling is acceptable provided it conveys the meaning.
Good Luck

why u have not considerd cusat kochi.which is in the top 35 goverment engineering colleges.it has also been considered for upgradation to an IIEST .
Where is NITK Surathkal? IIIT Hyderabad? IIIT Gwalior?
THE RANKING SEEMS TO HAVE BECOME THE ANNUAL JOKE BOOK OF INDIA TODAY . Solets all of us laugh together .
i completely dis-agree to the above ratings……and itz my sincere advice 2 all fresh entrants and future aspirants not to fall over such un-reliable,un-just and this Marketing-Blitz …….
ISMU and IT-bhu both deserve to b in the top 10 colleges list….
These colleges have all IIT-JEE qualified students….the same breed which is found at your favourite campuses……… the IITS…
so why deride these coveted venues????
plz make your data un-biased and well updated..
